The research found that for every $1 invested in Christian community broadcasting, $8.70 in social value is created, demonstrating the contribution the sector makes well beyond traditional measures of audience and reach.

Across more than 835 broadcasting locations, Christian broadcasters reach approximately 1.897 million Australians each week, supported by more than 230 employees and 1,500 volunteers.

Importantly, 87.8% of the total social value identified through the research is experienced directly by listeners, through outcomes including greater connection, representation, participation, wellbeing and resilience.

The findings provide strong evidence of what our sector sees every day: trusted local Christian media plays an important role in strengthening people and communities across Australia.
