In her role as Sector Partnerships Lead, Jodie works with CMAA’s partners, including charity organisations, members and other key partners, to amplify our voice across the Christian media landscape and get the word out on issues that matter.
What drew you to this role at CMAA?
As a communicator working in marketing for businesses, Christian radio and not-for-profit organisations, I love finding ways to connect like-minded people to build community and increase impact. I could never have guessed that I would be working in this space, but God kept opening doors and I just kept saying 'Okay!' and walking through them. Working alongside people who are passionate about sharing the good news of Jesus in culturally relevant ways is energising.
What's something unexpected you’ve learnt working in the Christian Media & Arts sector?
I’ve learned there are lots of organisations doing incredible work in sharing the hope we have in Jesus and executing the message in a way that’s relevant, and full of truth and beauty.
If you could host a podcast, on any topic you like, what would it be about?
I launched my podcast ‘How To: Market Your Church’ in 2023. This limited series podcast is the intersection of everything I learned on staff as Communications Pastor at my church and in my business as a digital marketing consultant. You can find it wherever you get your podcasts.
What are you currently reading?
I read LOTS. Just finished The Seven Skins of Esther Wilding by Holly Ringland, I’m re-reading Richard Osman’s The Thursday Murder Club series and about to start Atomic Habits by James Clear.
…listening to?
All Out 80’s playlist on Spotify and my church’s upcoming worship playlist.
…watching?
Borgen on Netflix.
What’s something people would be surprised to know about you?
I sometimes sing in a band, I can sew and I met Princess Ann on my gap year.
What’s something you still want to tick off your bucket list?
See the Northern Lights and visit Corsica.
