An Adelaide based podcast has become the first ever Christian podcast to win a RadioToday award.
Christian radio presenter and podcaster Aiden Grant is celebrating after his podcast, Songs That Changed You, was named best Health & Wellness Podcast in the 2023 RadioToday Awards.
It’s a history making win, being the first ever faith-based podcast to receive a RadioToday award. The awards is an annual event celebrating the best of entertainment, leadership and innovation in the Australian radio industry.
Podcast host Aiden Grant, who also presents the afternoon show on Adelaide’s Christian radio station Life FM, said he “couldn't be more pumped” about the win.
“A lot of hard work has gone into [the podcast] since kicking off in February,” he said. “A lot of editing and research and emails begging guests to come on - so it's really cool to see it starting to pay off. It's also super rare for Christian media to be recognised in this way so I really feel like this is win for all of us."
Each episode of Songs That Changed You features a guest speaking about a song that has had a profound impact on their life and their faith journey.
Guests so far have included singer Rachel Lampa, Australian radio presenters Luke Holt and Lucy Holmes, singer Colin Buchanan, and former Hillsong pastor Nathan Finochio.
