Could Your Organisation Survive a Cyber Attack?

A practical framework has been developed to assist Directors and Management build cyber resilience - essential for every organisation.

Lessons from the Optus and Medibank data breaches should be top of mind for all organisation boards and management.

In 2020/21 – a cyber-attack was reported every 8 minutes to the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC).  This represented a 13% increase on the prior year. The ACSC believes this trend will continue to rise, despite organisations best efforts.

The Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and the Cyber Security Cooperative Research Centre (CSCRC) have developed a practical framework to assist Directors and Management build organisational cyber resilience.  

The five cybersecurity governance principles each represent an aspect of cybersecurity that requires board-level attention and oversight and provide a very helpful framework to guide boards and management when developing cybersecurity governance principles – a must for board oversight.
