Beyond the Song brought Christian artists, songwriters, worship leaders and industry professionals together on the Gold Coast for a focused day of learning, connection and collaboration.
Presented by CMAA and Aus Music Showcase alongside CONNECT26, the event was designed to help musicians move beyond simply making music and think more intentionally about building a sustainable career.
Across three dedicated sessions, attendees explored how to communicate their story and brand, how to get their music heard, and how to build the right team around them. The program included practical teaching on personal branding and social media, conversations around radio, promotion and music submissions, and insights into management, production and the people artists may need around them as their careers grow.

Feedback from attendees highlighted the quality of the speakers and panels, the range of industry perspectives represented and, especially, the opportunity to build relationships face to face.
One attendee described the day as:
“A great opportunity to ask questions and get face to face with radio, artist management and branding people.”
Others valued the relaxed atmosphere, knowledge sharing, collaboration and chance to hear from people working across different parts of the industry.
The feedback also showed a strong appetite for more, with attendees suggesting additional networking, smaller conversations with speakers and artists, collaboration opportunities and future gatherings in other locations.
Beyond the Song reinforced the value of creating intentional spaces for Christian artists and industry professionals to learn from one another, strengthen relationships and build a healthier, more connected music community.
