Research that helps demonstrate the impact of Christian media, alongside advocacy that gives our members and sector a stronger collective voice.
How do you know the impact you’re making?
CMAA invests in research that helps our members understand their audiences, measure their contribution and put credible evidence around the difference Christian media is making in communities.
Our recent Radio and You Survey, coordinated by CMAA and conducted by Compass Polling, gathered insights from listeners, employees, volunteers and sponsors across Australia. It explored not just who is listening, but the difference Christian radio is making in areas such as faith, wellbeing, hope, connection, community participation and personal growth.
We followed this with significant Social Return on Investment (SROI) research, putting an economic value around that impact.
The findings give our sector something powerful: evidence.
They help individual organisations better understand the impact they are making and provide credible data that can be shared with boards, supporters, sponsors, funders, government and other stakeholders.
CMAA shares the results across the industry so the research can strengthen the whole sector, not just individual organisations. The framework developed through this work is also now being shared with international partners, extending its potential well beyond Australia.
Research also strengthens our advocacy. CMAA represents the interests of Christian media and the arts with government, regulators, industry bodies and other stakeholders, using evidence and the collective experience of our members to help demonstrate the importance and contribution of our sector.
