We’re excited to announce that entries for the 2026 Excellence in Media & Arts Awards are now officially open!
The Excellence in Media & Arts Awards acknowledge the vision, passion, skill and dedication of individuals and organisations who are sharing the hope of Jesus through media and the arts. These awards provide an opportunity to showcase and honour God’s provision and encouragement, as we celebrate the stories and remarkable impact of those working across media and the creative industries.
Who Can Enter?
Submissions are open to all CMAA Members and Associate Members.
Eligible content must have been produced between 1 January 2025 and 31 March 2026.
Candidates may be nominated by peers or may self-nominate.

- Innovation in Mission Resourcing
- Beacon Award, Large Market
- Beacon Award, Small Market
- Remarkable Contribution
- Emerging Talent
- Compelling Content, Audio
- Compelling Content, Social Media
- Compelling Content, Screen, Documentary, Entertainment, Factual and Learning
Application Requirements
In addition to category specific criteria, each submission must include:
- A maximum 90 second video introduction addressing the judging criteria.
Please note that video production quality is not being judged. We want to understand the heart behind your project. - No more than 120 seconds of audio or video content for judging
For example, 4 x 30 seconds, 2 x 60 seconds, or 1 x 120 seconds.
Files must be downloadable or judges will not be able to access them. - A photo of the entrant or team
- A 150 word bio of the entrant or team
- Clear and direct reference to how the project meets each of the judging criteria, with supporting documentation uploaded.
Please note:
Late submissions will not be accepted.
Entries that do not directly address the judging criteria will not be eligible to progress to the finalist round.
All entries will be judged solely on the material submitted.

Winners will be announced at the Excellence in Media & Arts Awards Dinner at the CONNECT26 Conference, held on Tuesday 15 September 2026 at the QT Hotel, Gold Coast.
Tickets to the Awards Dinner will need to be purchased separately for nominees who wish to attend. Further details will be provided closer to the event.
