Music fans will remember Tenielle Neda from earlier this year as the opening act for the Australian Rend Collective tour.
Named on the US Gospel Coalition's "Quality Christian Music: 15 Artists to Watch" - Tenielle Neda is a West Australian singer-songwriter who writes theologically rich and musically beautiful songs. Neda's melodic folk writing style and distinctive vocals are reminiscent of early Joni Mitchell or Stevie Nicks.
Neda fully gave her life to following Jesus in her 20's and her music reflects the uncynical passion of an adult convert. She spent her youth in the mainstream music world, releasing an EP in 2013 with Island Records, before releasing her first Christian EP "Mercy" in 2019 through Running Club Records.
Neda toured earlier this year as the opening act for the Australian Rend Collective tour. She took on tour her husband and then, 2 year old and 3 month old sons (no small feat!), whilst having a break from her day job of driving trains in remote Western Australia.
Neda is set to release her second EP, which was produced by acclaimed American singer-songwriter Jon Guerra. Neda and Jon, who connected over social media, decided to collaborate, which then eventuated into Jon producing the record. "It really all came about quite organically. Jon producing the record really felt like an opportunity provided by God and an answer to prayer. From the day Jon heard the demos, I knew he understood the songs and we felt aligned in what we wanted to create. I am so thankful for the beauty he has brought to the record," explains Neda.
Jon co-wrote and is a featured artist on the advent single "Jesus You Come" which reflects on the incarnation of Christ. "Jesus You Come" will be released world-wide at midnight on Friday November 27, with the remainder of the EP "What Is My Hope?", released in the new year.
If her debut Christian EP, "Mercy" is any indication, she’ll be a notable presence in Christian music for years to come.
