Since releasing her last single ‘Hold You’, Tarryn has been performing across Australia with her acclaimed candlelight concert series, singing the songs of Celine Dion, as well as gracing the stage at Vision Australia’s Carols by Candlelight, Perth’s Telethon, Rhema Newcastle's 40th Birthday Gala, and our very own CONNECT25 Dinner and Show.
Back in the studio, Tarryn is ready to share her new music with the world, this time with an upbeat, soul-pop anthem that radiates joy, gratitude and strength.
Co-written with Shannon Busch and Stephen Mowat (the songwriting team behind Jessica Mauboy and Jason Derulo’s ‘Give You Love’), and produced by Rob Amoruso (Baker Boy, Budjerah, Mia Wray), Rubies & Gold is a shimmering anthem about recognising your true worth.
The song celebrates the power of self-belief — a reminder that you are a treasure, worth more than rubies and gold, and that confidence in who you are is where your true beauty lies. With her warm, soulful tone and lush vocal layers, the track evokes a Motown spirit wrapped in modern pop energy.
An Encouragement to Know Your Worth
The inspiration for the song came from Tarryn's desire to focus on intrinsic worth. Tarryn reflects: “I wanted to write something that spoke to the heart of people’s true value. Rubies & Gold is about ignoring the naysayers and the voices that bring you down, and instead walking confidently in who you are.”
Describing the uplifting feeling of the track, she added: “This song feels like a celebration of growth, joy and overcoming insecurities. It’s the kind of song I hope people dance to, sing along to, and feel uplifted by.”
