Alpha are seeking an innovative and strategic Marketing Lead to help drive their marketing and creative initiatives. This pivotal role requires an experienced marketer with leadership experience, and a proven track record in developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, engagement, and growth. The ideal candidate will have the ability to blend creativity with analytical thinking to achieve our organisational goals.

About the Role:

The Marketing Lead will oversee the development, implementation and acceleration of Alpha’s marketing strategy, with the aim of growing Alpha’s reach, leading to more churches running Alpha and more participants experiencing Alpha. With a goal to reach 2 million participants through Alpha in Australia by the end of 2033, the Marketing Lead has a critical role to play in ensuring that we increase the scope of our reach and influence.

This role requires someone who has a proven track record with the ability to lead a campaign from concept to delivery with clear goal setting, strong messaging, and leveraging the strengths of the team to deliver on outcomes. Expertise in campaign leadership, strategic direction, marketing and strategic thinking, and end-to-end project management is a must in this role. This candidate will also contribute to the development of marketing strategies for product releases, events, campaigns,
amongst other activities both locally and at times, globally.

Alpha is a global not for profit Christian organisation that gives people the chance to explore the Christian faith, ask questions and share their point of view through a series of interactive group sessions. Alpha is run in churches, cafes, universities and homes and everyone is welcome! It's estimated that over 28 million people have experienced Alpha in over 175 countries and in over 100 languages.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and execute creative marketing campaigns from start to finish across digital and traditional channels
  • Inspire, generate, and develop marketing ideas that are strategically informed, channel agnostic, and deeply integrated between all touchpoints and product experiences.
  • Craft compelling content that engages audiences and drives brand awareness.
  • Analyse market trends and customer insights to refine strategies.
  • Manage social media presence and grow engagement.
  • Collaborate with product team, designers, writers, and strategists to bring ideas to life.
  • Monitor and optimize campaign performance using data-driven insights
  • Innovate and think strategically across all major touchpoints and marketing channels
  • Consistently uplevel the quality of our marketing by bringing impactful ideas to the table and seeing the best of them through to fruition with an extreme attention to detail.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years marketing experience with proven experience in leading, developing and implementing successful marketing strategies
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing process and the ability to leverage new technologies that drive growth, activation and retention
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively while managing multiple projects across multiple departments and deadlines
  • High capacity for problem-solving and project management from end-to-end.
  • Ability to drive engagement and change
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Flexible, dependable and proactive

  • Eagerness to learn and develop in understanding of Alpha and its role as a thought leader in evangelization
