Jenny Anderson - Member Services Projects Lead

In her role as Member Services Projects Lead, Jenny supports our members through the coordination of key service initiatives and projects, helping to enhance engagement and deliver a great member experience. We asked Jenny a few questions to get to know her better:

What drew you to this role at CMAA?

I felt God was telling me it was time to move on and my time in my previous role had come to an end - thanks Luke Weston for the reminder at CONNECT25 to ask "Is the chair mine?". So I put in my notice - not sure what would be next. I really wanted to stay connected with the sector and the people who have become my friends and to continue using the skills and knowledge I have developed through working in Christian media. When God started opening doors, I was excited to step through. I love the way that CMAA connects people and brings them together to serve their audiences and am looking forward to being a part of making that happen.

What’s something unexpected you’ve learnt while working in the Christian Media & Arts sector?

There is great joy in being able to work together to live out God's calling and share that more widely than we could on our own. I love how much momentum is built when we join forces and share ideas.

If you could host a podcast on any topic you like, what would it be about?

I'm not sure if I'm ready to put my podcast idea out there yet - I still want to get it started! I guess I could say that it would be about faith in everyday life and how much stays the same even when everything is changing.

What are you currently reading?

I'm loving historical fiction right now - especially if it is set in Australia. I just finished "The Story Thief" by Kyra Geddes which was a great story about love and loss. Sharon Garlough Brown's "Sensible Shoes" series is also a favourite, I have loved walking through it with a wonderful group of friends over the last year.

…listening to?

My local Christian radio station, unless I'm out of range and then I've been listening to For King + Country on repeat - love their new release "World on Fire" - or Leanna Crawford. Her song "Still Waters (Psalm 23)" has been a huge comfort recently.

…watching?

Sunsets, stars, campfires, birds, and flowers. All the beautiful seasonal changes in nature. The occasional movie, but I honestly can't remember the last one I saw.

What’s something people would be surprised to know about you?

I live off grid and am helping my husband owner build our new home - well I like to think I am helping between all of the other things I have on.

What’s something you’d still like to tick off your bucket list?

I'd love to see the Sistine Chapel, go to the Maldives, Hawaii, and road trip Route 66 - amongst many others! Oh and finish a quilt for each of my grandchildren.
