Clare Bruce, Digital Content Producer

In her role as Digital Content Producer Clare keeps our members supplied with social graphics and web content, and supports the CMAA team with her wealth of experience in writing, journalism, graphics and video editing.

What drew you to this role at CMAA?

I love to write, edit and create, and I love to serve Christian organisations with a kingdom mission and vision. This was the perfect next step.

What's something unexpected you’ve learnt working in the Christian Media & Arts sector?

The amazing work CMAA is constantly doing behind the scenes, travelling around the country networking, consulting, advising and advocating, to pave the way for better Christian media and culture into the future. It amazes me what a few dedicated people can achieve.

If you could host a podcast, on any topic you like, what would it be about?

It would be about mental health in the Christian context - something that's often misunderstood in Christian spaces. I’d love to link listeners up with expert knowledge, and tell peoples’ stories – about their experiences and their recovery. It would give people hope that God can walk us through any mental health struggle we may face.

What are you currently reading?

A lot of books about Mindfulness; ‘Celebration of Discpline’ by Richard Foster; and fun novels or cookbooks when my brain needs a break.

…listening to?

A steady stream of 80s and 90s radio & greatest hits albums; the ‘Dolly Parton’s America’ podcast; and lots of worship - it’s my job to pick new songs for church.

…watching?

Silly comedies on Netflix that I was too busy for in the ‘90s and ‘00s; Movies with spies, And any show that involves competitive baking or sewing.

What’s something people would be surprised to know about you?

I can milk a cow, I have 36 cousins, which makes family reunions a lot of fun, and I once spent my New Years Eve writing band charts for pop songs until midnight.

What’s something you still want to tick off your bucket list?

Travel to Ireland. Also, join a covers band and play lots wedding gigs.
