Sunshine Coast based Australian Christian Channel commenced broadcasting Easter 1999 on the Optus Vision Cable and Satellite TV network which later merged with Foxtel. This month it celebrates 20 years of national broadcasting.

ACCTV continues to provide linear broadcasting in partnership with Foxtel, as well as Fetch TV. In recent years it launched ACCTV NOW, an on-demand platform expanding its reach to 88% of Australians. Viewers have enjoyed popular series such as When Calls The Heart and premiere movies including The Passion of The Christ, The Heart of Man and The Case For Christ.

Founded in 1999 by local businessman Mike Jeffs, ACCTV commenced broadcasting as the only 24hr faith and family channel in Australia. "I’m thankful to God that from such humble beginnings, ACCTV has accomplished so much in just 20 years," said station founder, Mike Jeffs.

ACCTV is celebrating 20 years by broadcasting a special documentary featuring Australian award-winning country rock and gospel singer-songwriter Steve Grace at 5.30pm on Sunday, 21st April. Celebrations include an open day at its studios later in the year for friends of ACCTV. For more information about ACCTV please visit the channel's website acc.tv.
