Adelaide's Life FM Creates Ultimate Thrift Market
Life FM in Adelaide is encouraging the op-shops across the State to join forces in a never-before-seen thrift market, to be held at the heritage-listed Harts Mill Flour Shed, in Port Adelaide on June 7th.
Bringing together the best-known and most unique opportunity shops for one day only, allows locals to grab a bargain, while contributing to sustainability, and supporting vital charities... including Life FM.
The event is a first of it's kind for the region and promises live music, coffee, food, a fashion show, kids activities along with the high-quality recycled fashion and goods for sale.
The concept of the market was born from a desire to bring all corners of the community together to support the financial needs of the charities that help thousands every year. Cost of living and sustainability pressures on individuals are top of mind in 2025, and a family-friendly style of market is a gift Life FM wants to give back to the community.
Life FM Operations and Fundraising Manager Lorrene McClymont explains, “Our team is deeply passionate about reaching those who may be struggling, offering
encouragement, and providing a fresh, uplifting perspective through everything we do.”
“The Op Till You Drop Market is an idea that’s been brewing at Life FM for some time. With the rising cost of living and a growing interest in sustainability, recycling, and making every dollar go further, we wanted to create a space that makes thrifting more accessible and fun."
The event is open to all Op Shops across South Australia, with final registrations being accepted up until May 10th.
Entry to the market is by a gold coin donation per person to support the work of Life FM in sharing positive, influential content across the airwaves.
